To commemorate Hindi Diwas 2022 celebrations, the Consul General of India Melbourne organised a Hindi essay writing and poem recitation competition, for various ages.

Students from several Hindi VSL Centres participated in the competition, and enthralled everyone with their writing and recitation skills.

The prize distribution ceremony was held at the Indian consulate, with consular staff in attendance.

In the senior essay writing category, Ananya Mittal from the Blackburn VSL Centre won first prize, and Ami Agarwal from the Glen Waverley VSL Centre won second prize.

In the junior poem recitation category, Prisha Jethra from the Blackburn VSL Centre won second prize.

These students were awarded certificates, cash prizes and dictionaries.
