Annual Hindi Function - Dandenong
01 December, 2021
For the last class of the year, Hindi students of VSL Dandenong participated in an end of the year cultural program.  Quick answer questions, poetry puzzles, riddles, memory games, dance performances by students etc. were part of the annual celebrations. Certificates and prizes were given to all students for encouraging and reading Hindi.
This program was completed in collaboration with the Hindi Education Association, Australia. On this occasion, the President of Hindi Shiksha Sangh, Dr. Subhash Sharma informed students of the importance of Hindi and Indian culture. He also described Lord Macaulay, including his understanding about India, the high character of Indians 200 years ago and how his new education system changed that. Dr Sharma appealed to the students not to limit Hindi education to the classroom and to speak freely to the people of their family and the extended Indian community. This is how the language that is spoken remains alive.
VSL Area Manager, Heather Rae, also extended her best wishes to the students. In Saturday’s program, Hindi teacher Shally Khanna, who is also the secretary of the Hindi Education Association, made a special contribution in the organization. Manju Aggarwal (Vice President), Upma Mittal, Anjali Gupta, Saloni Surawala and Meenu Srivastava also made special contributions to the event.
